The purpose of these Measures is to protect, develop and utilize wild plant resources rationally, protect biodiversity and maintain ecological balances. The Text consists of 20 Articles.
The forestry and agriculture authorities at or above county level shall be responsible for wild plant administration in their administrative regions. Article 7 provides for the establishment of the protected areas in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws and regulations. The remaining articles make provisions, inter alia, for the collection, sale, purchase and development of wild plant species, and offences and penalties.
