This Act provides for product conformity. Its purpose is to ensure product safety and conformity and the free movement of goods. To achieve the purpose, this Act sets out the following: the requirements for ensuring product safety and product conformity attestation and the grounds of accreditation and market supervision; 2) the principles of evasion of obstacles to the free movement of goods, which may arise from technical regulations and standards, and the grounds of standardisation; and the establishment of Product Contact Points and the rules of procedure for application of technical regulations with regard to products that fall outside the scope of application of Community harmonization legislation in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 764/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down procedures relating to the application of certain national technical rules to products lawfully marketed in another Member State and repealing Decision No 3052/95/EC (OJ L 218, 13.8.2008, pp 21 29).
