This Directive sets out provisions on the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The aim is to contribute to the protection of human health and the environment. The Directive covers also the environmentally sound recovery and waste disposal. Annex II lays down the list of restricted substances and related maximum tolerated values.
