The Order sets regulations on the import, export, sale and production within the EU of electrical equipment listed under the Order s Appendix 1 and bans trade of equipment containing hazardous substances as listed under Order s Appendix 2. Marking of said commodities must comply with EU labeling-standards, following the Ministry of Environment s control and authorization.
The Order consists of 8 Chapters and 5 Appendices: Application (1); Limitations of import and sale of electrical and electronic equipment (2); Obligations for producers, EU importers, importers and retailers (3); Authorized representatives (3); Evaluation of conformity, declaration of conformity and CE marking (4); Monitoring and control (5); Penalty (6); Entry into force (7).
Appendix 1 - Categories of electrical and electronic equipment pursuant to article 1, section 1.
Appendix 2 - Restrictions on imports and sales of electrical and electronic equipment pursuant to article 3.
Appendix 3 - Applications exempted from restrictions listed under article 3, section 1.
Appendix 4 - Applications exempted from restrictions listed under article 3, section 1 (specifically for medical devices and monitoring and control of instruments).
Appendix 5 - EU Declaration of Conformity.
The Order sets regulations on the import, export, sale and production within the EU of electrical equipment listed under the Order’s Appendix 1 and bans trade of equipment containing hazardous substances as listed under Order’s Appendix 2. Marking of said commodities must comply with EU labeling-standards, following the Ministry of Environment’s control and authorization.
Medical devices and monitoring of instruments shall apply to this Order only from 22 July 2014. Medical devices for in-vitro diagnostics shall apply from 22 July 2016. Industrial monitoring of instruments shall apply from 22 July 2017.
