This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of nine paragraphs and four Annexes, concerns the keeping of animals in experimental centers. Such center is protected from the access of third parties, access of other animals and the escape of animals kept in it. The surfaces of walls and floors in the center are made of materials resistant to severe mechanical damage caused by animals and cleaning agents, harmless to health of animals and not causing injuries to animals. Equipment and devices in the center are protected in a way preventing their damage and injury of animals. Rooms where animals are kept: (1) are made of materials that are not harmful to animal health; (2) are made in a way which prevents the possibility of mutilating animals; (3) are made of materials resistant to cleaning and disinfection techniques except for premises which can not be reused; (4) are equipped with a resting place for animals that has the features of a resting place for animals found in the natural environment of individual animal species.
