This Regulation concerns EEA nationals right to work as animal health personnel or artificial inseminator in Norway. It consists of the following six Chapters: (1) Introduction; (2) Authorization as veterinarian; (3) Authorization as fisheries biologist, animal nurse and artificial insemination professional; (4) Temporary work; (5) Other provisions; (6) Final provisions. The purpose of the Regulation is to ensure that qualified individuals according to Directive 2005/36/EC can register as animal health or artificial insemination professionals in Norway, and that such professionals are given the right to work temporarily in Norway without authorization. The Regulation also applies to the processing of applications submitted prior to the UK leaving the EU from applicants who have acquired professional qualifications in the UK.
Consolidated version of Regulation No. 77 of 2009 as last amended by Regulation No. 1378 of 2019. Regulation No. 1203 of December 1998 on authorization and access to practice as a veterinarian in Norway for EEA nationals educated in other countries within the EEA and Regulation No. 429 of May 2005 on the authorization of animal health personnel from other EEA countries are repealed. Implements DIRECTIVE 2005/36/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications.
