The present Law implements the Federal Fisheries Act of 21 June 1991 and the Cantonal Law on fisheries of 10 May 1965. In particular, the Law lays down provisions relating to the correct and efficient enforcement of the afore-mentioned Federal Fisheries Act and the Cantonal Law on fisheries. The Law applies to both public and private waters. The text consists of 37 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Fishing authorizations (II); Lease fishing (III); Pursuit of fishing (IV); Promotion of fishing (V); Organization (VI); Procedure and legal remedies (VII); Penalties, transitional and final provisions (VIII).
