According to Chapters 4-5, 9, 11-14 of Order on imports of food with special restrictions and penal provisions for the violation of various EU legislation (food restriction order), certain animal foods from Albania, Bangladesh, India, Japan and China (melamine residues and GMO) are subject to a special document inspection at the Danish border prior to the food has to be imported. This Circular applies to special documentation accompanying statements of certain food of animal origin from Albania, Bangladesh, India, Japan and China (melamine residues and GMO); to sampling for analysis on suspicion of residues of banned drugs, veterinary drugs, contaminants and histamine in certain animal foods from Albania, Bangladesh, India, China (GMOs), Mexico, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand and Turkey, and; to the special monitoring of certain animal foods from Japan and China (melamine) for possible the presence of contaminants.
