This Decree provides the rules governing the set-up of the integrated identification and registration system of swine. It contains rules also regarding the marking of swine, the duties of the authorities, slaughterhouses, official veterinarians and animal keepers. For the purpose of identification and traceability of animals and for monitoring of supports, a national data base, forming part of the National Animal Husbandry Databank, must be established and operated. This Decree sets forth also provisions regarding the transport of animals and the documentation which must accompany the transported animals, and rules of inspection and sanctions.
