The main provisions of these Regulations include the use of Category 3 meat and bone meal in pet food, the use of Category 3 meat and bone meal as a fertilizer on non-pasture land and the spreading of digestate of composting and biogas plants on non-pasture land. It also defines presumptions as a defence in proceedings for an offence in relation to a contravention of article 7(1) or (2) of the TSE Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 999/2001).
