The present Law ensures the correct and efficient enforcement of the Federal Animal Protection Act of 16 December 2005 and the Federal Animal Disease Act of 1 July 1966. In particular, the purpose of the Law is to protect the health of both human beings and animals, as well as to preserve the dignity of animals. Part 2 lists the competent organs of the Canton responsible for the enforcement of the afore-mentioned Acts.
