Ministerial Decree No. 303 implementing Directive 96/93/EC on the certification of animals and animal products.

The certificates provided for by the veterinary Community legislation referred to in the Annexes to Legislative Decree No. 28 of 1993 shall be issued by official veterinarians or veterinarians authorized by the competent authority. The local health authorities, as well as the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces, shall control the above-mentioned certifying officers in order to: (a) ensure that certifying officers have a satisfactory knowledge of the veterinary legislation as regards the animals
