The provisions laid down in this Decree apply to the sampling of products of plant and animal origin in order to determine the level of pesticide residues for the purposes of Ministerial Decrees Nos. 300481/84, 290341/88, 352654/95 and Presidential Decree No. 497/89. These provisions do not affect the sampling strategy, sampling levels and frequency as specified in Annexes III and IV to Presidential Decree 259/98 on measures to monitor certain substances and residues thereof in live animals and animal products (article 1). The sampling for the checks provided for in article 6 of Decree No. 300481/84 (as completed with Decree No. 85532/2001), article 7 of Decree No. 290341/88, article 26 of Presidential Decree No. 497/89, and article 6 of Decree No. 352654/95 shall be carried out in accordance with the methods described in the Annex to the present Decree (article 2).
