This Regional Act lays down particular rules governing the porcedure to be followed by the competent authorities to issue the authorizations required in the field of ionizing radiation. These rules have been established in compliance with article 29(2) of Legislative Decree No. 230 of 1995 implementing the relevant Euratom Directives. Moreover, the Regional Act provides for the supervision of environmental radioactivity (art. 15). The Regional Commission for the Prevention of Risks from Ionizing Radiation is set up under article 4.
