This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food lays down conditions to be met during storage and marketing of fresh and frozen embryos of bovine animals on the territory of the European Union, and conditions of the import of embryos from third countries. The application scope does not include embryos resulting from in vitro fertilization. In particular, movement of embryos to trade in the European Union territory must meet the following conditions: (1) the organization collecting the embryos is registered in the Veterinary Administration and included in the list of approved establishments in the European Commission; (2) the organization collecting the embryos is not the subject to any restrictions on veterinary requirements for trade; (3) the embryos are obtained from bulls in semen collection centers in accordance with rules governing the routine tests and treatment of bulls in semen collection centers; (4) the embryos were collected from domestic cattle which meets the conditions set out in Annex B; (5) the embryos were collected, received, processed and stored by the acquisition or collection of embryos which meets the conditions set out in Annex A; (6) the embryos must be accompanied by the veterinary certificate prepared in the form specified in Annex C; (7) the premises of the procurement organization collecting the embryos are not contaminated; (8) organization collecting the embryos is not in the protection zone. This Regulation is composed of 14 articles divided into the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Conditions of intra-Community trade in (Sec. 2); Conditions of import from third countries (Sec. 3); Protection and control measures (Sec. 4); Final provisions (Sec. 5).
