This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food establishes provisions governing animal health problems affecting the production, processing and distribution of food of animal origin and products derived therefrom, in accordance with Council Directive 2002/99/EC laying down the animal health rules governing the production, processing, distribution and introduction of products of animal origin for human consumption. This Regulation applies to products derived from animals and to products derived from products intended for human consumption, including live animals. Animal health conditions laid down in this Regulation do not affect the enforcement of regulations governing the veterinary checks on products of animal origin or regulations governing the veterinary checks on products imported from third countries. Food business operators, in all stages of production, processing and distribution of food, must prevent the spread of diseases transmitted between animals. This Regulation is composed of the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Animal health conditions (Sec.2); Final provisions (Sec. 3).
