This Regulation establishes diagnostic procedures, sampling methods and criteria for evaluation of the results of laboratory tests for the confirmation and differential diagnosis of swine vesicular disease.
Detection of swine vesicular disease and differential diagnosis of foot and mouth disease is based on: a) determining the clinical signs of the disease; b) detection of virus antigen or genome in samples of epithelial tissues, fluids or feces from the vesicles; c) determining the response of specific antibodies in serum samples, in accordance with the procedures, sampling methods and criteria for evaluation of the results of laboratory tests set forth in the Manual of diagnostic procedures, sampling methods and criteria for evaluation of the results of laboratory tests for the detection and differential diagnosis of vesicular swine diseases are an integral part of the Annex, published with this Regulation.
This Regulation establishes diagnostic procedures, sampling methods and criteria for evaluation of the results of laboratory tests for the confirmation and differential diagnosis of swine vesicular disease.
