These Regulations are enacted in order to strengthen the protection, management and rational utilization of wildlife resources, and maintain the natural ecological balance. The Regulations contain 24 Articles.
The nature reserves and the non-hunting areas shall be established in the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. In the nature reserves and non-hunting areas, the hunting and catching of wildlife and other activities which are harmful to the living and breeding of wildlife shall be prohibited. The seasons closed to hunting shall be from March 1 to October 31 every year. A hunting license or national key protected wild animal breeding and breeding license shall be required when hunting the national key protection of wild animals is needed due to scientific research, domestication and breeding, exhibition, foreign exchange, etc. The Regulations further provide for the measures to be taken for supervision and inspection, offences and penalties.
