These Regulations concern exemption of certain working dogs from the prohibition of the removal of the whole or any part of a dog s tail, otherwise than for the purpose of medical treatment pursuant to section 6 of the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 2011. They set out the requirements to be observed before a veterinary surgeon for such procedure. Specified type of activities for purpuses of these Regulations includ lawful pest control and lawful shooting of animals.
