The present Regulation provides for the establishment of the Community Fisheries Control Agency, a technical and administrative body the objective of which is to organize operational coordination of fisheries control and inspection activities carried out by the Member States within the framework of the common fisheries policy, so as to ensure its effective and uniform application. In addition, the Agency shall assist the Member States in reporting information on fishing and inspection activities to the Commission. The Regulation is componed of the following Chapters: (I) Objective, scope and definitions; (II) Mission and tasks of the Agency; (III) Operational coordination; (IV) Internal structure and functioning; (V) Financial provisions; (VI) Final provisions. Article 34c of Regulation (EEC) No. 2847/93 is replaced by the text laid down in article 41 hereto.
