The present Act establishes that the conservation, preservation and development of nature and landscapes, both in populated and non-populated areas, shall be such as to effectively serve the following purposes: 1) to maintain the efficiency of the balance of nature, 2) to preserve the exploitability of nature's resources, 3) to conserve fauna and flora, and 4) to safeguard the variety, particularity and beauty of nature and landscapes. The present Act consists of 71 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Environment observation, land use planning (2); General protection of nature and landscape (3); Protection, care and development of certain parts of nature and landscape (4); Protection and care of wild fauna and wild flora (5); Recreation in nature and landscape (6); Participation of associations (7); Completing provision (8); Administrative fines and penalties (9); Transitional provision s(10).
