Section 1 declares that the Act shall apply to food, meat products, beverages, stimulants, meant to consumed by human beings and excludes products covered by the Medical Products Act (SFS 1992: 859) from its sphere of application. It also defines "added substances" and "foreign substances". Section 2 introduces the basic definition of "handling" including slaughtering, and manufacturing, preparation, treatment, packing, storage, re-packing, transportation and conservation, sale vending, presenta
