This Law, consisting of 37 articles, provides for regulation of rural land issues, resolution of rehabilitated livestock farmers issues, amendment of provisions of laws and related provisions. The Law concerns the following matters: disposal of lands, including: concession, public residential land, zoning plan; price of agricultural, livestock or land lots and plots; lands available from distribution reform; concession of real estate; concession of occupied lands, except for forests or land declared reforestable; fine for arbitrary occupation; distribution procedure and exploitation of lots; sale of lots and plots; concession of lots; disposal of livestock lands, including: rehabilitation of landless livestock breeders; special arrangements, including shared cooperative lands, communal lands and land available for leasing; special settlement issues, including distribution of olive trees; replacement and amendment of previous laws and decrees.
Other matters concern: composition of the Fisheries Council; Agricultural Cooperative Organisation; Internship of geologist, foresters; agricultural trade union organisation; agricultural machinery; establishment of directorates in the Ministry of Agriculture, concerning Animal Health Department, Department of Veterinary Public Health, Department of Animal Protection and Veterinary Applications; financial issues and grants; regulation of agriculture and land legal entities; regulation and definition of tasks and responsibilities of the Greek Milk Organisation; establishment of the National Agriculture Research Foundation; amendment of Law on fertilisers, of Law on current legislation of agricultural and veterinary pharmaceutics, of Law concerning the authorisation and control of agricultural chemicals; provisions concerning license to operate poultry farms and animal nutrition sector.
