This Directive lays down animal health conditions governing intra-Community trade in, and imports from third countries of poultry and hatching eggs. Each Member State shall designate a national reference laboratory to be responsible for coordinating the diagnostic methods provided for in this Directive. Hatching eggs, day-old chicks, breeding poultry and productive poultry must come from: approved establishments and provisions for their transport and marketing are laid down in this Regulation. C
