This Directive lays down general rules for the handling, production and the placing on the market of fishery products for human consumption. Under article 10 are set the provisions applied to imports of fishery products from third countries. In Annex are, among others, set the minimum requirements for factory vessels, requirements during and after landing, health and control of production and packaging.
